Before you buy

Check the rental permit, the association rules and realistic occupancy before you underwrite rental income.

Before the season

Arrange shutters, a storm checklist and a caretaker before June 1, when the Atlantic hurricane season begins.

Once you own

A local manager handles guests, cleaning, maintenance and post-storm inspections while you are away.

What do you need help with?

We route your request to a local property manager or service provider. Terms, pricing and availability are confirmed by them directly.

No payment details or documents. Submitting does not create an agreement or booking.

Common questions

Do I need a permit to rent out my Bahamas home?

Property intended for rental use is one of the cases where the International Persons Landholding Act permit applies to non-Bahamian owners. Confirm with a Bahamian attorney before you list.

Is rental income taxed?

The Bahamas has no income tax on rental earnings. VAT and real property tax still apply, and your manager or attorney can explain how they affect your listing.

When is hurricane season?

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Owners typically arrange shutters, storm checks and post-storm inspections with a caretaker before the season starts.
